Burry SS455901 (1*) Restricted Access Sent in by Jon Swan (03/05/2003)
'On the Gower peninsula. Short and and shallow, adjacent to the public road but actually looks like it is part of the private access to the farm. Pebble, gravel, and sand bottom. There is a footbridge a few yards away for the footpath that runs along the lane towards the farm. Adjacent to the footbridge there is also a 'road bridge' for the farm track. Look as though this ford might be used for heavier vehicles to avoid straining the bridge. With caution could be crossed in an ordinary car.'

"At entrance to Ilston Quarry, a nature reserve run by the Gower Wildlife Trust; no vehicular access to the quarry and the gate is locked; but the ford is accessible and has a pretty waterfall."

Wern-Olau SS564961 (2*) Suitable for All Sent in by Graham Hardy (20/08/2006)
