'Monster ford on a public road. sign posted no through road due to the fords severity but shown on most road maps. The photos show it at it's most benign; only 2 feet deep with a very strong current but you can easily drive half way across the river which is exposed . Our friend in the land rover hybrid tested it out . Another friend with a land rover 101FC did this ford in winter where he got wet feet, for that to happen the water had to be over 4 feet deep, natural river bottom and shallow, sandy entrance/exit ramps - signs of fairly frequent usage Ranges from 30 feet to100 feet wide.'

'On a private road from the golf centre although not gated - would not advise driving down the hill from the golf centre unless in a 4x4 as its moderately steep and muddy. Ford could be crossed and then recrossed from main road but nowhere to turn. About 25 feet wide, concrete ford where part of upstream concrete has collapsed so 8 inches deep dropping to 15 inches+ at collapsed part (not visible)'

'It was very shallow (2 inches) when we went through but can be very deep as the depth gauge shows - it only shows 4 to 6 feet!'
